What if I told you that A.) that’s not a legitimate news source.
B.) In their own words “31 states have not yet adopted special laws that restrict the ability of rapists to assert their custodian and visitation rights to a child born through rape.”
These states do not have laws that PUSH for rapists to have parental rights, which is what liberals are trying to fool people into believe. They just haven’t adopted laws which disallow it.
The article only offers one story of a woman who had a rapist petition for access to the child, which failed.
She says she was ‘lucky’, but where is the statistics on the number of times a court has ACTUALLY granted visitation to a rapist.
Keep in mind that any court with a reasonably sane judge would likely not grant custody to A.) a felon B.) a sex offender, regardless of them being the father (by rape or simply now being an ex-husband), of which a rapist hits BOTH qualifications.
So really, you are just blowing smoke.
I also notice that this article provides no link to HR-3, the bill they are using to fear-monger, so the reader has no easy access to ACTUALLY read the bill. I’ll read said bill and do a post on it as well, because I know the history of progressive websites taking a bill and twisting it’s wording to make it seem like it says something it doesn’t. (See President Obama’s COMPLETE lies about Arizona SB 1070 during the last debate).
