If the parties were parents
I imagine the GOP would be the old school, tough love parents. They don’t take your bullshit and they give it to you straight. They want you to succeed so they’re a little hard on you. They want to be sure you will one day be an independent adult who lives for yourself and your own family and wont have to depend on anyone else. This may get on your nerves from time to time, but in the end you will most definitely thank them for it as a productive member of society.
The Democrats on the other hand would be the parents whose only concern is that you consider them to be “cool” and your friend. They give you whatever you want whenever you want it so long as you promise to love them. You wind up a spoiled brat who expects the world to do everything for you, never taking responsibility for yourself and still living at home gladly giving up your freedoms for free stuff.
